Dallinghoo, is a Top Masted Gaff rig Schooner designed by Dudley Dix and built by S.A. Pritchard of South Africa in 1990. She is a charming Classic style sailing cruiser built from steel with Burmese teak decks renewed beautifully in 2015, when the boat underwent a major refit.
Her current Captain of 3 years, has been instrumental in restoring the yachts charm and has her running perfectly.
She sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 double cabins, plus a 4 berth crew cabin accessed by the deck to the bow. The boat is fully air-conditioned and has a very sociable saloon area and bar for dining and relaxing, and a highly equipped commercial galley adjacent to the Master Suite aft.
On deck, the rig has steel masts, aluminium top masts and gaffs and glass/epoxy sheathed wooden booms. She has stainless steel standing rigging, three lower shrouds and one upper shroud per mast with triadic stays joining the masts. One set of lower running backstays and one set of upper running backstays. The bow sprit with whisker stays and spreaders and a bobstay with dolphin striker.
She has a full set of 7 sails all in Tan-Bark traditional Clipper sail cloth in good condition, (3 of which are new 2019) served by 14 Lewmar winches.
The yacht has a 185hp Perkins diesel engine, which has been fully re-built in 2019 and had a new PRM500 gearbox installed in 2016.
Dallinghoo is fully equipped for diving and has 2 diving compressors with 8 complete sets of diving equipment. She also has numerous kayaks, paddle boards, fishing equipment a 4.2m Novourania RIB (with Honda 40hp outboard) and a 12 foot clinker sailing dinghy.
